In the press

This interview with designer Ángela Hurtado appeared in the issue #536 of Perfil magazine, in Costa Rica. The October 2006 issue is the wedding special of this prestigious publication, and Azahar Tiaras was featured in a speciall section about Costa Rican designers.

Designing dreams

Creating tiaras, headbands and bridal jewelry is a craft that this designer, only 23 years old, learned empirically since she was 13. Ángela Hurtado is a graphic designer from the Universidad de Costa Rica, who is currently dedicated to creating different options for this very special day.

She expresses a refreshing sense of youth through the colors and materials used in her unique creations. Her pieces reflect her passion for art and her interest in art history.

Above all, she tries to transmit a powerful concept behind her designs: that jewelry has always been a treasured and very personal article, a very strong relationship between a piece of jewelry and its owner.

The crowns, tiaras and jewelry in the AzaharTiaras collection have unique elements and exclusive materials -like Swarovski crystals, Czech glass and semiprecious stones-, that give a luxurious feel mixed with a modern style, a youthful combination of materials and design.

Moreover, Ángela herself crafts each piece individually, setting each pearl, crystal, quartz or stone in sterling silver or gold-filled wire. Through her exclusive collection of jewelry, Ángela gives Costa Rican brides the opportunity to make their dreams come true, through her custom-made jewelry and headpieces.
